Battle for Moscow

Battle for Moscow is a turn-based wargame that replicates the German failed attempt to conquer Moscow in late 1941, followed by the Russian counter-offensive which prevented the Germans from concluding the eastern war that year. The objective for the Germans is to march relentlessly towards the Russian capital and seize it, aiming for a glorious victory. Meanwhile, the Russians must thwart the German advance and keep Moscow out of their reach, pushing the axis units back to their original position by the end of winter.

The game employs classical rules such as hex movements, ZOC's, combat odds, supply, multi-step units, reinforcements, replacements, rail movement, variable/historical weather, etc. The game is played on a map of 16x10 hexes, housing an average of 50 units. The game features two scenarios and a full campaign that spans up to 14 turns. It's a two-player game, with one person controlling the German army, while the other player commands the Soviet forces.
