Brevis

Brevis is a Content Management System (CMS) software that was initially created and sold as a for-profit venture by Firelace, Inc. However, after much discussion, Firelace has decided to release Brevis as open-source under the GPL. This goodwill gesture enables you to take advantage of Brevis, an outstanding product, at no cost (and without a warranty, of course).

Brevis was developed by Firelace, Inc. and published as GPL software in January 2008. It features a complete template engine, module extensibility, and media manager. To use Brevis, you'll need a web server that supports PHP, PHP 4.x or later, and MySQL 3.23.x or later.

In the latest release of Brevis, you'll find several improvements, such as the addition of "title" to the HTML header for entry edit in newsblog, the correction of "blocks.display.php" in newsblog, fixed "pages.add.x.php" to correct an escape sequence when adding a page to a menu (related to migration to adodb). Also, the File Manager has been updated with create/delete folders, upload files, and delete files. Finally, the update includes a fix for "menus.edit.x.php" to correct the invalid function name for a new escape sequence.
