Brown

Brown is a GTK theme that boasts the use of the Murrine SVN, Pixmap, and Mist engines. It also includes an Emerald theme. If you're interested in trying out this theme, the installation process is quite simple. First, right click on your desktop and select "Change Desktop Background". From there, select the "Theme" tab and drag and drop the theme's archive into the "Appearance Preferences" window. If everything was done correctly, you'll receive a confirmation message and can activate the theme simply by clicking on it.

For those who may not be familiar with the GNOME desktop environment, it is an international effort to create a complete desktop environment from entirely free software. This includes everything from creating development frameworks and selecting application software for the desktop to working on the programs that manage application launching, file handling, and window and task management. GNOME is part of the GNU Project and can be used with various Unix-like operating systems, with a notable usage being as part of the Java Desktop System in Solaris.
