ccostring

CCostring is a software utility designed for comparing lines from different files. Its primary purpose is to handle a specific naming scheme used for MP3 files. The comparison process begins from the beginning of the line, and it reads up to the first '-' in the line. This process is replicated for the other line, and once complete, the two strings are compared. If they are equal, CCostring prints the line. However, if they are not equal, it reads to the next '-' in line(2) and then performs the comparison again.

If CCostring finds nothing, it reads to the next '-' in line(1) and restarts the process with line(2). If there is nothing found, it prints nothing. As an example, suppose line(1) is "Karl Martin - Sitting here.mp3" from the input file and line(2) is "Lene Martin - Sitting down here.mp3" from the database file. When CCostring reads to the first '-' in line(1), it puts the data into line1[20].

The same process is repeated for line(2), and it then compares the two arrays. If they are not equal, CCostring reads to the next '-' in line(2) until it no longer finds a match. This process is also repeated for line(1). Once CCostring is done with line(2), it reads the next line from the database file.

To install CCostring, the user must have root access. They can then run 'make' to compile the source code and 'make install' to install the software. Once properly installed, users can utilize CCostring by running 'ccostring -h' for help.
