The software makes it easy to search for information on your CDs with a variety of options. The most convenient way to find information is by inserting a CD and letting freedb.org and/or Amazon fetch all the information automatically. Alternatively, you can search using a keyword in amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de or freedb.org to locate the desired album. If you have a scanner, you can scan the UPC code, and CDpedia will take care of the rest.
For your convenience, CDpedia marks albums or songs that you have already imported into iTunes using a blue note, and they can be played directly within the CDpedia. Once you have obtained all the necessary data for your CDs, you can arrange them using any method you choose. You can create collections for your preferred artist or establish smart collections that update automatically when additional CDs matching the criteria are added. You can create wish lists for CDs that you don't have yet and a borrowed list to recall who borrowed what CD and when.
