Chgrep

Chgrep is a highly efficient program that allows users to change old patterns to new patterns in lines. This powerful software is designed to search input files for old strings and then convert them to new strings. If you have both a file and a file.lock, chgrep will not alter either file.

With chgrep, users can even write "NULL" in the new pattern to clear the old pattern, e.g. "chgrep oldstring NULL somefile.c".
