A PyPi server has been developed and implemented as a software system.
ClueReleaseManager is a PyPi server backend implementation that utilizes SQLAlchemy and the filesystem to store project files and metadata. The default storage engine used by ClueReleaseManager is sqlite.
Installing the software is simple and can be accomplished using the easy_install tool with the command "easy_install ClueReleaseManager". Once installed, the script "cluerelmgr-server" will be created for launching the server. Usage instructions can be accessed by running "cluerelmgr-server --help".
Out of the box, ClueReleaseManager creates a cluerelmgr.db sqlite3 database in the server's current working directory, alongside a files directory that is used to store uploaded files. User registration can be completed using the standard python setup.py register < someproject > command or by manually adding a user record inside the cluerelmgr.db file.
