As a music aficionado, I find it frustrating that the built-in Amarok Cover Manager only allows fetching from amazon.com. While this may suffice for those whose collection largely comprises popular music, it falls short for those like me who have a substantial number of vinyl rips or releases from underground labels.
Fortunately, there's Cover Fetcher, an Amarok script that enables you to fetch album cover art for your currently playing track from discogs.com. With this script, all you need to do is click on any track in your playlist and select "Fetch covers from Discogs" and pick "for currently playing track."
The script then allows you to browse, save, and delete pre-existing album art from your track's folder, as well as relevant album art from Discogs.com. All in all, Cover Fetcher makes the process of finding album art for your eclectic music collection more rewarding and less frustrating.
