DadaDodo

The DadaDodo project is a software that generates random sentences based on input files. While some of the generated sentences might be nonsensical, others might reveal hidden meanings that the user might not have thought of otherwise. DadaDodo works in a different way compared to Dissociated Press which shuffles segments of the text. Instead, DadaDodo attempts to work on a larger scale by scanning bodies of text and building a probability tree that expresses the occurrence of words.

This probability histogram is known as a Markov Chain, named after Andrei Markov, who invented it. The theory behind using Markov Chains is that with a large enough corpus, the generated sentences should tend to be grammatically correct while being semantically random. Markov Chains can also be used for things other than generating random text, such as in image processing for feature recognition as well as for analyzing finite-state machines for bottlenecks and critical paths.

The latest release of the software includes a fix for some crashes by using "unsigned char" everywhere. In conclusion, DadaDodo is a unique software that can be useful for generating random and sometimes insightful sentences that can be used for various purposes.
