Decomp

Decomp is a decompiler that can handle ELF32, ELF64, PE, NE, MZ, and COM executable files on the IA-32 architecture. It claims to support Alpha as well, but this isn't entirely true. While the generated code isn't recompilable, it's still an enjoyable tool to utilize, and the program decompiles files with ease.

The software includes several options, including the ability to output the decompiled file to a specific location via the -o flag. By default, the program appends .S to the input file name. Users can reference the -h flag to display the help message or the -v flag for version information.

Additionally, Decomp provides several tools for those knowledgeable about IA-32 architecture. For instance, -a displays the address of each instruction, -c prints the opcode of each instruction, and -p captures any instruction prefixes. Users can turn on memory tracing with -t and output instruction queue size through -q.

Lastly, the software provides the -s flag, which allows users to select between two assembly language styles, nasm or gas, although this feature is not yet fully functioning. Overall, Decomp proves useful for those needing a decompiler, especially with its ability to handle various executable formats on the IA-32 architecture with ease.
