DelCo

The DelCo project, developed by the networking research group at Institute of Communications Engineering (ICE), aims to address the challenges of digital content distribution and provide advanced tools for content providers, operators, and users. The project integrates multicast and peer-to-peer delivery systems, a simple content provider interface, content search functionalities, and protects the content distribution network from malware, viruses, and illegal content.

If you're using Ubuntu, you'll need to install several libraries to run the DelCo application, including curl, xerces-c, boost, wxwidgets, expat, openssl, and zlib. Fortunately, with Debian/Ubuntu environment these can be installed easily through the following commands: sudo apt-get update, sudo apt-get install libexpat1, sudo apt-get install libssl0.9.8, sudo apt-get install zlib1g, sudo apt-get install libcurl3, sudo apt-get install libxerces27, sudo apt-get install libwxgtk2.6-0. Additional libraries that might be required include libboost-date-time1.33.1, libboost-filesystem1.33.1, and libboost-thread1.33.1.

Once these libraries are installed, you can run the application by executing ./myapp. The DelCo project provides a powerful set of tools for improving digital content delivery and enhancing the user experience.
