DeskScribe is an innovative software suite that enables users to easily record their desktop activities during usability testing scenarios. The program captures the mouse pointer at an admirable 200 frames per second, although it is not recommended to run it for long periods on battery-powered devices. Presently, the software exclusively captures and logs mouse activity information. The logging format is entirely compatible with LogSquare, which simplifies the entire process for users.
The DeskScribe logging application operates as a system tray icon, providing users with quick access to the tools they need. From this icon, it is possible to commence and halt logging, as well as quit the software altogether. Additionally, future versions of the program will enable it to log key presses and to capture the screen in video formats.
