This is a straightforward wiki application coded in Python and built with the Django Framework.
I recently tried out django-wakawaka and I must say, it's a remarkable wiki system created specifically for the Django framework. If you're keen on trying it out, a sample installation is available for you to test your skills.
Installation is super-easy, with two major steps required. Firstly, put wakawaka to your INSTALLED_APPS in your settings.py within your Django project. Secondly, add (r'^wiki/', include('wakawaka.urls')), to your urls.py, and you're done! Wakawaka has no other dependencies apart from Django 1.0 or Django 1.1 (currently known as trunk).
When it comes to configuration, Wakawaka takes care of Django's permission system. It's simple and straightforward- all you need to do is grant your users a pair of wikipage and revision permissions appropriately.
Furthermore, there are some optional configurations that you can change if you so desire. The name of your first wiki page is defined as WikiIndex, and you can modify this by adding a setting WAKAWAKA_DEFAULT_INDEX to your settings.py. CamelCased words (a pair of one upper letter followed by n lower letters) automatically receive special treatment as internal wiki links. However, you can modify this behavior by adding a setting WAKAWAKA_SLUG_REGEX to your settings.py. It holds a regular expression of the wiki name format.
One downside, however, is that Wakawaka doesn't provide the ability to store file attachments to wiki pages. Yet, you can still store file attachments by looking at the side project django-attachments which provides an unobstructive way to add attachments to models.
