An AppleScript is available for free which will efficiently download and store the text content of a webpage that is being browsed through Camino.
I recently stumbled upon Download Page Text, an AppleScript compatible with Camino, and wanted to share my thoughts about it. This program is incredibly user-friendly and automatically downloads the source text from your currently loaded page, gives you a plain text output (i.e. no codes, formatting, links or image references), saves it as a plain text file either in your Downloads folder (Leopard) or on your desktop (Tiger), and opens it in your default text editor.
The installation process is seamless. All you have to do is unzip the file and copy the script to the path ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/Camino/. Make sure to create any subfolders that don't already exist. Once you've completed these steps, the script will appear under a "Camino Scripts" heading in your system-wide Script menu whenever Camino is the frontmost application. Additionally, if you are using Camino 1.6 or later, you can place the script on the Camino toolbar by dragging it from the "Customize Toolbar" drop-down menu.
