DPS-FTP is a multi-threaded FTP client designed for GNOME users. Initially, it was named Kevlar FTP because its user interface was inspired by Bulletproof FTP, and Kevlar is known for its bullet-proof quality. But due to trademark issues, I had to rename my product.
Therefore, DPS-FTP was born as DuPont Sucks FTP. It comes with impressive features that make it stand out among other FTP clients. With DPS-FTP, you can browse local and remote directories, enjoy a powerful transfer queue that enables you to download and upload multiple files to multiple sites in any order.
Additionally, the caching of directory listings enhances your experience, and you can enjoy the product's fully multi-threaded capability. DPS-FTP's connections are in separate windows, and it has a site manager that makes it easier for you to manage your FTP workflow.
To use DPS-FTP, you must develop it and dpsftplib on a system that supports Debian 2.1 i386, with glib 1.2.6, GTK+ 1.2.6, GNOME 1.0.54, and libglade 0.11. Although it should compile with anything higher than GTK+ 1.1.12 and GNOME 0.99, I cannot guarantee its performance.
However, if you face any issues, please report them to me, and I'll attend to them as soon as possible. Additionally, you'll need dpsftplib, which is available in the downloads section. The library contains all the actual work, and you can use it to make a console version of DPS-FTP whenever the GNOME version reaches 1.0.
