EASEA is a language specifically designed for defining evolutionary algorithms.
The EASEA project is a noteworthy high-level language that has been specifically developed for the specification of evolutionary algorithms. EASEA works by compiling .ez specification files into C++ or Java object files, utilizing already-existing evolutionary libraries. Currently, the C++ libraries that are supported are GALib or EO. Although EASEA is an excellent tool for programming with EO, the current version 0.7b is not yet able to handle GALib.
One of the newest features of EASEA is the incorporation of a Graphic User Interface for the Description of Experiment (GUIDE). This feature is currently in its 0.1 version, which means that it's still being fine-tuned, and there may be some bugs to work out.
Overall, users who are already familiar with EASEA will appreciate the many new parameters that have been added, which can be used to pilot the quite comprehensive EO library. This newest version of EASEA can also be utilized to create JEO Java experiments for the DREAM.
