East Asian Translator is a software extension that enables users to translate web pages and selected passages in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. The translation service is provided by excite.co.jp. It is effortless to use the extension to translate a whole page. Simply right-click and select the appropriate language pair from the Translate from...menu.
If you wish to translate only a portion of the web page, select the highlighted text. Once the selection is made, the translation made by East Asian Translator will appear in a new tab. This feature is particularly useful if you do not want to translate the entire page.
