The game takes you on an adventure where you are the paddle and have to save N-dimensional space from the evil overlords, the Evil Bricks, who have committed genocide on your race and are now plotting to conquer the 3rd dimension and beyond.
Your only weapon is your Antimatter Negative Reality Inversion Rectifier which is also known as 'the ball.' As you embark on this challenging mission, you have to be careful, strategic, and fast.
The game can be controlled using either the keyboard, specifically the Arrow Keys (left and right) and the Space Bar (to serve), or the mouse. With the mouse, you can easily navigate and serve by pressing the left mouse button (if it doesn't work, use the Space bar). To pause, press the 'p' key, and if you want to end the game early safely, dump screenshots with 't,' then press 'Esc.'
The screenshots are in ppm P3 format and can be converted with ppmtogif, among other utilities. Gimp and zgv can handle this format easily. It's important to note that your mouse must be configured in /etc/vga/libvga.config for it to work correctly. You might also have to run gpm with the -R switch, but this could ruin X; in this case, kill gpm either way.
To install the game, simply follow these steps: # make; su; make install. The game installs to /usr/local/bin, and you can also do "make nosound" to skip compiling in sound support.
