Horizon DataSys's Executable Lockdown software helps maintain secure PC configurations by preventing unauthorized executables from causing damage to the computer. It enforces user policies, preventing malware, viruses, identity theft, and unauthorized computer modifications.
This software, called Executable Lockdown, is designed to prevent the installation of unauthorized executable files, no matter where they come from. Whether it's a file downloaded from the Internet or from some other media, if it's not on the administrator's "Allowed" executables whitelist, it won't launch. Executable Lockdown works at all times, regardless of who is logged in to the PC.
When the administrator needs to install new software, make updates, or run new executables, they can stop the Executable Lockdown service on-the-fly, without having to restart the PC. In public access or shared computing environments, the administrator also has the option of hiding the Executable Lockdown tray icon and setting a password for the program console to prevent unauthorized changes to the settings.
