Network-based note-taking management.
The PostInfo Pro software allows users to create and attach notes to their computer screens. All of these notes are stored in a database for later access. When the program is launched, a small icon appears in the taskbar that enables users to perform different actions like starting a new note, searching through the history, changing settings, or exiting the program altogether.
PostInfo Pro's full capabilities come to light when it is used on a network. With a central database, users can send notes to any workstation. To enable network functionality, users will need a fileserver (compatible with Win 95, Win NT, Novell, etc.) to store the central database. This software exceeds the limitations of email communication with the following features: easy operation, an easily accessible address book, and fast updates (customizable to as little as 15 seconds). Any new information added is immediately visible on the screen.
Even from our trial testing within a small department (6 workstations), PostInfo Pro proved to be incredibly effective. After just one month, over 2000 notes had been created and shared. The program reduced internal telephone communications and improved the overall flow of information within the department.
