As a software enthusiast, I must say that Fox's Futurama is an underrated masterpiece. Conceived by the genius behind The Simpsons, Matt Groening, it features a unique storyline set in the far-off future that's designed to appeal to the geekier sensibilities of viewers. Sadly, the show didn't quite get the traction it deserved from Fox. The network pre-empted it with football, shuffled it around in different time slots, and didn't invest enough in marketing it. This led to many of us missing out on some spectacular episodes.
Fortunately, with the release of Futurama Vol. 2 on DVD, I finally got my hands on the entire series. The new volume contains a host of iconic characters from the show, such as Zapp Brannigan, a hilarious human character, the villainous Mom, and her despicable sons, the professor's arch-enemy, Wernstrom, and a host of others. This release has definitely satisfied my thirst for the series, and I can't wait for Vol. 3.
I'm excited to hear that the next release will include even more fan favorites. I urge other enthusiasts like me to stay tuned and keep an eye out for more updates.
