Glib Binding Properties software enables developers to quickly and easily bind properties of GLib and GTK objects to enhance their project's functionality.
The Glib Binding Properties library is a recent addition to the the GLib / GTK library. It provides an effective implementation of binding properties and includes Ada 95 for GtkAda GTK bindings (which was developed by ACT corp.). Binding properties is the automatic synchronization of values of multiple properties to keep them corresponding and updated with one another. Essentially, when a property changes, any other properties bound with it will also change accordingly. Additionally, bindings with value transformation functions can be supported.
This library proves to be incredibly useful in reducing the development time of desktop applications, while increasing reliability by avoiding the time-consuming and error-prone task of writing callback handlers of property changes. Often, the mistakes in GUI applications are a result of incorrect property change handlers. Binding properties eliminates these errors and allows for more efficient and reliable applications.
At its current state, version 0.9.1 is an alpha version. We encourage users to test out the software and provide feedback to improve future versions.
