Gournal is an application designed for Tablet PCs that allows for notetaking.
Gournal is a fantastic note-taking application designed for usage on Tablet-PCs. It works perfectly with a stylus, making it a great alternative to using a mouse or keyboard. Despite not having handwriting recognition, it can still function well with xstroke for accepting text.
One of the best things about Gournal is that it uses gtk2-perl, along with the gladexml and gnomecanvas modules of gtk2-perl, thereby ensuring that users get a smooth and seamless experience. In addition, the pages are saved as gzipped SVG files which may not be entirely standard yet but are being worked on.
Since this is the first attempt of the application, the author has not used any M$ tablet applications and is unaware of the necessary features to include. Nevertheless, Gournal is designed to look and work like a physical notebook, complete with multiple pages.
The system runs efficiently, loading pages only when they are viewed. Hence, it is not flustered or slowed down by the number of pages you create. Every created page is named according to the time of creation, making it easier to navigate through and locate the specific page you need.

You can use multiple sections, fine, normal, medium, and thick pens, an Eraser, a Highligher, typed text, time-stamp, zoom, infinitely undo/redo, delete entire strokes, networkable pages, insert images, and load a file as the background.
