GPilotInstaller is a Java program that serves as an excellent frontend to the gpilot-install-file command. This allows for files to be queued for installation on a Palm OS device. By working effortlessly with gpilot on GNOME, GPilotInstaller takes away the stress of always typing out the command.
As a user, I found it tedious to manually install files on my Palm Zire 72. But, with GPilotInstaller, I was able to throw this tool together in just four days. This includes the time it took to write the code, document it, and test it thoroughly. Overall, it gets the job done.
To use the software, download the code and build it. I personally used NetBeans 5.5 to design and write the code. Once GPilotInstaller is installed, test it out for yourself.
