Greed

Greed is a fantastic strategy game that will keep you hooked for hours. The objective of the game is to eat as much of the board as possible without trapping yourself in a corner. In Greed, you'll be playing on a grid of numbers, and you'll need to erase as much of the screen as you can.

To get started, you'll need to move your cursor around the screen. You can use the arrow keys or the 'hjklyubn' keys or your numberic to move in any direction. Your location is marked by the @ symbol, and when you move in a direction, you'll erase N number of grid squares in that direction, where N is the first number in that direction.

Your score will reflect the total number of squares that you've eaten. The game won't let you make a move that would take you off the grid or over a previously eaten square. If no valid moves exist, your game will come to an end.

There are other commands you can use in Greed, too. For example, 'Ctrl-L' will redraw the screen, 'p' will highlight possible moves, and 'q' will let you quit the game. The only command line option available in Greed is '-s,' which will output the high score file.
