Hangman

This software review is for a hangman game with a child-friendly approach. The game is designed to be peaceful and harmless, avoiding violence. It uses answers collected from the Dolch word list along with lovely graphics, which should appeal to babies. The object of the game is to find hidden words by guessing one letter at a time.

The game layout consists of a doll on the right-hand side, having a body composed of 6 rings along with a head. While on the left side, the 26 alphabets are listed, and the hidden word is represented by a row of dashes that indicate the number of letters. To make a guess, click on an alphabet. If the selected letter is correct, it will appear on its corresponding position on the dashes, earning the player 10 points.

If the letter is not contained in the word, one ring will be removed from the doll, and two points will be deducted. If the entire doll is removed, the current question is skipped. Generally, ten questions are given and the players are allowed to learn through edutainment.
