To utilize this software, users must have the following requirements: Apache httpd version 2.2 or later, mod_python version 3.1 or later along with support for Python Server Pages, and one of the following PostgreSQL drivers: psycopg2, psycopg, or pgdb. Users must also have an IPA data store, the instructions and schema files for which are available in the libipa distribution.
For installation, users should ensure that they have all software dependencies outlined in the README document, including a PostgreSQL server with an IPA data store. The installation process includes several steps. First, users should extract the portal archive to a temporary directory. Then, as a super-user, they should change into the directory and install the IPA Portal modules. Next, users should choose a location to hold the IPA portal configuration file, which will contain database credentials for accessing the IPA data store.
