For convenience, the command I used for connecting the tool to a TCP/IP stream was "socat -v EXEC:"./jabber-notify login password jabber.net [email protected] hello" TCP4:jabber.net:5222". I would highly recommend this project to anyone who requires a simple and efficient tool for jabber notification.
