Jukebox-Control is a software solution that automates Sony A/V components with S-Link features for CD, DVD, MD, and other media.
The jukebox-control project is an all-in-one automation solution for Sony A/V components featuring S-Link (CD, DVD, MD, etc). This software comes equipped with a Linux driver module for an easy and cost-effective DIY build parallel to the Sony S-Link interface. Additionally, it also includes Perl modules with both control-A1 (II) and control-S protocol implementations.
Despite being in its development state, this software proves to be a hit amongst developers. With this release, bidirectional Control-A1 protocol is now fully supported, along with the implementation of unidirectional Control-S protocol. The new object model, which ties A1 and S devices together under the same base class, is also a noteworthy feature of this release. However, CDDB support has been removed temporarily since most modules are being rewritten at this time.
It's worth noting that this release does not come with a real user interface. However, this is an interim release that should suffice for the time being. All in all, jukebox-control is a reliable and comprehensive software solution for controlling Sony A/V components with S-Link.
