Popup windows and sounds will inform you when new messages arrive, or when new users appear in your contact list.

You have the option to switch off some boring interlocutors by "ignoring" their contacts, and you can use emoticons to express yourself beyond words. LANcet Chat also features a simple "Antiboss" system. Simply press Esc, and your chat will hide in the system tray, or it will erase all the latest messages you received. This feature comes in handy when your boss is walking behind you and monitoring what you're doing on the job.
