LingvoSoft Dictionary English <-> Greek for Palm OS

I recently had the chance to use the LingvoSoft Dictionary English Greek for Palm OS and was truly impressed with its range of features. Boasting a massive database of 400,000 words that can be translated in either direction, this app also provides instant back translations. One of the best things about this app is that if you come across an unfamiliar word while using another application, all you need to do is highlight and copy the word, then launch your LingvoSoft dictionary. As soon as you start up the dictionary, the app will automatically pick up the word from the clipboard and paste it into the dictionary for you.

LingvoSoft also offers several search functions to make the app as user-friendly as possible. Quick Search, Vector Ultima spell-checker, and MorphoFinder functions all work in tandem to provide the most comprehensive search results possible. Each dictionary entry is completed with part of speech information and multiple translation options for all polysemantic words. Using this app is a true pleasure, thanks to the splendid word databases, attractive fonts, and original keyboards.

This app also features a Home page that gives an overview of all dictionary entries in the Main List, and an overview of all possible translations of a selected word in the Translations List. The Quick Back Translation feature provides proof of correct understanding, and the Quick Search function allows you to start typing a word into the Input Line and quickly access any entries starting with those letters.

Switching between languages is also a breeze thanks to the pop-up trigger in the upper right corner that allows you to change the direction of translation. Additionally, the MorphoFinder function is incredibly helpful when trying to find source words (headwords) for past participles, gerunds, plural forms. This app also includes a spellchecker for both English and Greek.

Finally, this app also supports high resolution and SD/MMC standard support. You can store both applications and/or databases on an extension card (SD/MMC) and run the app from the main memory or the extension card regardless of where the database is located. All in all, I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants access to a reliable, user-friendly dictionary for the English and Greek languages on their Palm OS device.
