Lluzhionne is a flexible webcam app that allows for customization and randomly generated captions.
Lluzhionne is a versatile webcam program that is highly configurable, allowing users to apply randomly selected captions, dates, and filters to images before uploading them. The project comes with a default set of filters that use NetPBM and ImageMagick, but additional filters can be easily added.
One of the standout features of Lluzhionne is its ability to upload images using SCP. It supports various devices, including Casio digital cameras, YUV420P Video4Linux devices, and external webcam programs. Another great aspect of Lluzhionne is that it does not require X11.
Lluzhionne has been rigorously tested using the Casio QV-10A digital camera and the Phillips (pwc driver) Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000. Recent updates to Lluzhionne include support for at least some cameras supported by gphoto2 (including the "iClick Xtreme" USB camera), the ability to layer additional filters atop the image (and any captions) with a --overlay option, and the addition of a verbose option.
Perhaps most importantly, Lluzhionne no longer attempts to upload blank output files if an error occurs. Additionally, sending a running Lluzhionne a SIGHUP now reloads its config file, and SIGINT is now properly caught. Overall, Lluzhionne is an incredibly powerful and reliable webcam program that is definitely worth checking out.
