Lyricod is a Linux-based software that displays Lrc lyrics onscreen.
Lyricod is a unique software that functions as a server, providing the capability to display lyric .lrc files on screen while song plays. The Lyricod project uses MPRIS (DBUS for media player control) to enable communication with the media player. This compatibility allows for the use of various types of media players. It should work with any MPRIS enabled player, while XMMS2, BMPx, VLC, Amarok, and Audacious come pre-enabled on MPRIS site.
To utilize Lyricod, you must place your .lrc files into the song directory or your ~/lyrics/ directory and begin the program. The .lrc file should have the same name as the song file with a .lrc extension, although Lyricod has some guessing abilities, it is better to avoid relying on it. If you have python-gnome installed, some options will save into gconf, and you can access the options at /apps/multimedia/lyricod/. Use gconf-editor to access gconf settings.

With the latest release of Lyricod, Proxies are now supported for network access, cookies, and an offset tag bug was fixed.
