MagikFortune is a fortune-telling software that employs 3D animated characters to deliver various kinds of fortunes. It could be jokes, thoughts, quotes, limericks or tips.
MagikFortune has taken inspiration from an old program, simply called "Fortune". It used to deliver witty or interesting comments to users upon logging in. Back in the day, computing was still text-based and Fortune would brighten up your experience. Today, while we have moved onto more graphically driven systems, Fortune has remained the same. This is where MagikFortune jumps in. It offers users the same experience of receiving fortunes, but with a modern, graphical operating system.
When you use MagikFortune, you no longer need to settle for a simple, plain text message on the screen. Instead, the fortune is delivered via a fully animated 3D character that moves and speaks for a more engaging experience. While developed independently, MagikFortune is still compatible with the old fortunes of the original Fortune program. In fact, many of the included fortunes come from the original archives.
Using MagikFortune is incredibly easy. We recommend setting it up to run on startup so that users can always have a fortune ready to go with just a click. It also offers various settings to customize the experience, like delivering fortunes on-demand, at regular intervals, or only when logging in. And if you'd rather not have the character in your face all the time, it can easily disappear into the system tray on the bottom right of the screen while still running in the background.
