Modeliner

June 27, 2008
Modeliner generates modeline according to the current Vim settings. It is a plugin that can be used within Vim.
Version 0.3.0
License GPL
Platform Linux
Supported Languages English
Homepage www.vim.org
Developed by Shuhei Kubota
Modeliner is a Vim plugin that automates generating modelines based on the current settings. To utilize Modeliner, simply execute ':Modeliner'. The plugin works by creating the appropriate modeline based on the current settings.

For example, if the current settings include:
- setl fenc=utf-8
- setl et
- setl sts=4

Then, Modeliner generates a modeline specific to the filetype:

- For 'c' filetype:
/* vim: set fenc=utf-8 et sts=4 : */

- For 'xml' filetype: [How to include my favorite options?]

One of the only potential drawbacks of Modeliner is that it may not include all of your favorite settings in the generated modeline. However, overall, the plugin provides a fast and convenient solution for generating modelines in Vim.
