MTBlogMail is a tool that sends email notifications to your Movable Type notifications list or an external mailing list based on your latest Movable Type weblog entries. This software determines the last entry sent and sends out the excerpts of all entries created since then. You can send mail to a single email address or to everyone on your notifications list. If you use a single address, it can be the adresse of a mailing list or group.
MTBlogMail sends out plain text emails only but there are plans for a future version to include HTML emails. This tool will run the first time on the last seven entries made on your blog. The software saves the ID of your last blog entry in a cache file after its first run. Subsequently, it runs on the number of entries made since the first run. You can edit MTBlogMail.cache by hand to alter this value. Entry IDs can be viewed in the MT back-end by clicking an entry and looking in the URL for something like &id=1381.
