Multiplayer Backgammon

This software is a digital version of one of the most historic board games in the world. The objective of the game is to move all your pieces in a counterclockwise direction until they reach your home board, then remove all of your pieces before your opponent does the same. You and your opponent will be assigned a set of either black or white pieces, with the home board of black located at the lower right region of the board and the home board of white located at the upper right region.

At the beginning of the game, you and your opponent will each roll a die to determine the turn order, with the player who rolls a higher number moving first. During your turn, you simply need to click the button in the middle of the screen to roll the dice. The numbers shown on the dice are the numbers of steps you can take. For instance, if you roll a 3 and a 6, you can move one of your pieces 3 steps forward, and then move the same piece or another piece 6 steps forward.

It is essential that you make as many moves as possible during each turn. When you roll two different numbers, you will be required to use both dice and make two separate moves. On the other hand, if you roll two of the same numbers, you can use each die twice and make four moves. For instance, if you roll a double 5, you can move four pieces forward, five steps each.

You can move your pieces to a column that is either empty or is currently occupied by your pieces. However, you cannot move your pieces to a location occupied by two or more of your opponent's pieces. If a column only has one opponent piece, it becomes a "blot," and you can attack the blot by landing your piece on that column and moving it to the bar in the middle of the board. When moving a piece to the bar, it has to start from the beginning of the game again. Additionally, a player cannot move any of their pieces until all of their pieces on the bar have entered the game.

After moving all of your pieces to the home board, you can start removing them from the board. The order of removal will follow the numbers rolled from the dice. For instance, if you roll a 4 and a 3, you must remove a piece first that had made it to the home board with a roll of 4 and then remove a piece that had made it to the home board with a roll of 3.
