murgaLua

Introducing the murgaLua project, a sleek and versatile Lua GUI and networking environment that performs flawlessly across multiple platforms. As a Java developer, frustration with the size and licensing of common development tools prompted me to create this innovative software for my personal projects. With murgaLua, deploying is easier and offers additional features, like robust GUI's, networking, databases, and XML, in a much smaller runtime, taking up only about 500k.

Creating rich applications, preferably with a GUI builder, is a breeze with murgaLua. To make life even simpler, it's a must that the program deploys seamlessly to Linux and Windows without any alterations to the client's code. With this software, you won't need to worry about dealing with a completely cryptic and proprietary language.

While there are many products in the market that meet most of those criteria, none come close in terms of size or fulfilling all of them. In the latest murgaLua release, we've added major improvements to XML functionality, big FLTK additions, better SQL examples, and improved network server support.
