N.A.G software transforms Gnutella search results into random and artistic musical collages.
With N.A.G., all you have to do is type in one or more search keywords, and the software does the rest. It scours the Gnutella peer-to-peer file sharing network for matching files and downloads them. But that's not all – the software remixes the audio files in real-time based on the structure of the Gnutella network itself.
Created in 2003, N.A.G. was commissioned by New Radio and Performing Arts, Inc., (dba Ether-Ore) for its Turbulence web site. It was made possible with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
If you're a fan of experimental software art and music, give N.A.G. a try. It's a unique and engaging way to explore the world of peer-to-peer file sharing.
