The project enables printer configuration for spokes through NDPS printers at work stations.
I recently installed the NDPS printer on my workstation using the NDPS remote management or ZENWorks workstation manager. The printer driver only provided me with the configuration type of status information. However, I discovered that by using the NDPS printer configuration on my workstations, I could configure the printing positions for the NDPS printers and make them available to users.
The NDPS printer configuration works as a Windows system service and is compatible with operating systems such as Windows/NT 4.0, Windows2000, and Windows/XP. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that no administrator rights are required to set up NDPS printing positions on these systems.
For Windows/95, Windows/98, Windows/ME, and older versions of Windows, local administrator rights are needed to use the program. However, it is also possible to schedule tasks in the Novell Desktop manager.
In addition, I was able to add the name of the configuration file in the NDS object of the respective NDPS printer. This ensured that I did not have to manually indicate where the configuration files were stored. Overall, I found the NDPS printer configuration to be a useful software that simplifies printer setup and management.
