Net Usage Item

I recently tried out the Net Usage Item, a Firefox add-on that displays a progress bar showing my internet usage. The bar is grabbed from my ISP and can be easily found on my Firefox Toolbar. I was intrigued by this add-on, but it should be noted that it only supports specific ISPs, so it may not be accessible to everyone.

The Net Usage Project aims to provide internet usage indicators for the Firefox browser. Essentially, it fetches data from an XML feed or usage web page provided by the ISP. This project is ideal for Australian Broadband Users who have download and upload limits on their internet usage. However, the meter can be adapted for any country's ISP who provides an XML usage data feed.

I appreciated that the Net Usage Item is cross-platform and works on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.
