Netmon

Netmon is an exceptional screenlet that provides users with an intuitive and visually appealing bandwidth meter, which is highly reminiscent of the popular DU-Meter. But what exactly are screenlets? In essence, screenlets refer to a widget engine that runs independently developed widget applications. In most instances, the engine works perfectly on X11-based compositing window managers, more so on the highly regarded Compiz architecture, mainly for Linux operating systems. Additionally, all screenlets were initially scripted in Python and seen in SVG until version 0.0.14 when support was introduced for web widgets.

To have the Netmon screenlet, one must have screenlets installed. Among the new updates for the Netmon screenlet include configurable text that allows users to decide what information to display, bit/byte display, line-graph mode with the option to fill, line-width option, and the ability to overscale the graph by a certain percentage. Moreover, users can modify the color options to be opaque or transparent, making it visible to those without compositing versions.
