Papi

Papi is an incredible tool for automating the process of building NOSRC rpms. These rpms are quite similar to the regular source rpm, except that they don't include the source tarball for legal reasons. Instead, they're used in situations like java packages or acroread where the closed-source software is freely available. The purpose of creating a nosrc.rpm is to ensure that the application fits seamlessly into the distribution.

However, building a nosrc.rpm from scratch requires knowledge of rpm building, which can be daunting for some users. Thankfully, this is where Papi comes in. This software presents users with a comprehensive list of supported packages and directs them to the program's download page. The user can download the package, and Papi will automatically rebuild the rpm upon receiving the downloaded file. Once complete, the resulting rpm can be installed like any other rpm.
