Pctvqt is Linux software designed for utilizing the Pinnacle PCTV Deluxe device.
Pctvqt is a software program designed for the purpose of using the Pinnacle PCTV Deluxe under Linux. If you wish to use this program, it is imperative that you have dunetool and mplayer installed on your computer. At the moment, the images used in pctvqt are created using KolourPaint, however, as a programmer, if anyone would be willing to help with the images, they are welcome to contact the developer in either English or German.
It is important to note that this version of the software is still in its early alpha stage, so there may be some bugs present in the program. Installation is simple, but one should keep in mind that because it is still in alpha, there is a possibility that it may not run on certain machines. The program runs using C++ and qt3.
To compile the program, simply extract the files and run /usr/qt/3/qmake (or qmake if you only have qt3). Warnings during the compilation process are okay. After compilation, you can run the program by typing ./pctvqt. Finally, if the dunetools are set up properly and you have a /usr/local/lib/dune/channels.txt file, you should be able to select a channel and begin playing by pressing the play button.
