Create 3D printed pottery with splines and full-color textures using an intuitive and free app. Manipulate effects and animations with oscillators and produce videos.

But this app doesn't just provide you with a basic design - you can also add effects to your pot's mesh and texture. With oscillators, you can modulate your effects, and then animate the modulations to create shape-morphing videos. The texture is customizable too, with options to synthesize it from a color palette using a variety of patterns or to use a user-specified image file that is texture-mapped via trigonometric functions.
When you're finished, you have a few options for exporting your designs. Choose from PLY file, STL file, or Wavefront OBJ file. If you select PLY, both texture mapping and vertex color are supported. Plus, you can easily export 2D images in BMP or PNG format.
This app has so many other helpful features: a built-in palette editor, print and print preview options, full screen mode, a tabbed MDI interface with dockable bars, unlimited undo and redo, and a library of shapes to use as starting points for your own designs. Plus, context-sensitive help is always available to assist you.
Best of all, this app is open-source and licensed under the GPL. So, if you're searching for efficient, free software to design your pottery, you'll find everything you need right here.
