Powermanga is a classic arcade-style 2D shooter featuring 41 levels and over 200 sprites to defeat.
Powermanga is an exceptional 2D space simulation arcade game with a total of 41 levels and more than 200 sprites. The game can run in either 320x200 or 640x400 pixels, with options for Window mode or full-screen display, supporting 8, 15, 16, 24, and 32 bpp.
To run Powermanga, you require either a 386 platform or a PowerPC platform with 32MB RAM and 80MB swap, Linux 2.x, XFree86 3.3.x, or better. To make it up and running, you'll also need SDl 1.2, SDL_mixer, the GCC C++ compiler, GNU make, X11 with the MIT-SHM extension headers, and LinuxThreads.
The developments in this release include unloading all C++ code, cleaning up and rewriting the remaining code and making it conform to C99. All comments and variables are now in the English language. The license now meets GPLv3 guidelines.
Additionally, joystick support is added, new scale effects are integrated, the order text is optimized to support both plain text and keystrokes file, sound files were updated to replace non-free sounds, and the high-score file format was changed.
Finally, the source code, as well as the resources files, were renamed, and volume control was added to the list of options. GP2X and PSP patches were merged to support more platforms. All in all, it's a great simulation game that all arcade and space lovers will undoubtedly enjoy.
