Reaction

As a software review, I have had the opportunity to review Reaction - a fork of Trellis, a straightforward and simplified approach to event-driven programming that is originally from a library called Phillip J. Eby. This take on event-driven programming is unique and very useful, but unfortunately, it hasn't been updated in a while. This is where Reaction comes in. It is a forked version of Trellis by Sergey Schetinin with PJE permission.

One notable change within Reaction is the namespace package. The package namespace in Trellis was called peak.events, but in Reaction, it has been changed to mext.trellis. Additionally, API changes have been introduced that render Reaction backward incompatible. However, the primary reason for these changes was to ensure that users don't misuse features, reduce the frequency of errors, facilitate for cleaner code, simplify understanding, and generally guide users toward best practices. While the changes may take some time to get used to, most users would definitely appreciate their non-intrusiveness and their positive overall effect on their code.

Overall, Reaction is an exciting and worthwhile update that provides a much better starting point for anyone looking to learn about event-driven programming. It is particularly user-friendly, and its clean code makes it easy to understand and navigate. Its new features and radical changes make it an invaluable tool for developers who want to stay ahead of the curve.
