RipMIME

RipMIME is a handy email attachment extraction tool that has been developed as part of the commercial Xamime package. The project has been designed to address the significant challenge of finding an easy-to-use, open-source MIME decoder that can be utilized by people with limited C skills. Consequently, the developers released the MIME decoding components of Xamime as a separate package known as RipMIME.

The primary objective of RipMIME is to extract attached files from a MIME package generated by tools like AMaViS, Inflex, and Xamime. The tool has intentionally been developed with no other operating purpose. Still, if you happen to utilize it differently, that's great. Interestingly, RipMIME has been solely written by Paul L Daniels and is released under a BSD-style license. This enables other commercial ventures to use the product without the hassles typically associated with using GPL software.

Installation of the tool is effortless and can be done by executing the commands, "make" and "make install."
