SaverLab

SaverLab is a reliable software that allows Mac OS X screensaver modules to run in regular windows. This innovative tool provides users with the ability to run multiple modules simultaneously, pause or single step their animations, and even control the speed of their animations. Additionally, users can save their completed animations as QuickTime movies for future use.

Upon launching SaverLab, all available screensaver modules are automatically located and listed under the "Modules" menu. From here, users can simply select a module to open a window in which it will run. Multiple windows, including multiple copies of the same module, can be opened and run simultaneously. Resizing windows causes screensavers to restart, and windows can be resized to any desired size.

Users can also open screensaver modules by simply double-clicking them in the Finder. SaverLab operates by looking for screensaver modules in the same folders as the Screen Saver Preferences panel, ensuring all accessible screensavers are available for use with the software. By default, the list of available modules is updated every time SaverLab is in use, but users can manually update their list anytime by using the "Update List" command in the Modules menu.

In its latest release, SaverLab now operates as a universal binary, compatible with both PowerPC and Intel processors. Additionally, display bugs for users with active interface scaling in Tiger have been fixed.
