SILC Pidgin

If you are looking for a reliable instant messaging software that supports SILC protocol, the SILC project is a great choice to consider. The best part is that it is included in the official Pidgin distribution. Therefore, by simply downloading Pidgin, you will already have SILC protocol support included.

If you prefer to download sources and compile them, getting SILC support is a breeze. It will be installed automatically along with Pidgin. However, if you opt for the binary version, you will need to download a separate SILC Pidgin plugin package to get SILC support.

To fully access SILC libraries, you will also need to download and install the SILC Toolkit. Good news is that all packages are available thanks to the Pidgin project.
